The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on October 01, 2026, issued a notification regarding reporting for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications and systems offered and used by market intermediaries.
The following has been stated: -
•BSE has mandated all active Trading Members using algorithmic software, who executed at least one algorithmic trade during April 01, 2026 to September 30, 2026, to submit AI/ML reporting, irrespective of whether AI/ML systems are actually used.
•Members not using AI/ML systems must submit a NIL report. Trading Members registered with both BSE and NSE shall submit the details only to NSE, which will share the submission with BSE.
•Other members shall submit through the BSE Electronic Filing System (BEFS) by selecting BEFS → Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning → Reporting Form (A I M L) on or before October 15, 2026.
