The NPCI Bharat BillPay Ltd. on February 19, 2025, issued an advisory on Independent Due Diligence by Operating Units.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that BBPS ensures a secure, compliant, and interoperable bill payment system, requiring all stakeholders to implement regulatory requirements for all NBBL-introduced services.
• It further states that the Operating Units (OUs) shall independently ensure compliance of all stakeholders with prudential regulations and will be fully accountable for any non-compliance, violations, or delays, subject to regulatory audits.
