The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), on May 27, 2026, issued an Information Note extending the timelines for submission of comments and counter-comments on its Consultation Paper concerning the Regulatory Framework for Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) Communication. The consultation paper had originally been released on April 30, 2026, with deadlines fixed as May 28, 2026, for comments and June 11, 2026, for counter-comments.
Considering requests received from stakeholders seeking additional time, TRAI has now extended the last date for submission of written comments to June 4, 2026, and the deadline for counter-comments to June 18, 2026. The extension is intended to facilitate wider stakeholder participation in the consultation process relating to V2X communication frameworks and regulatory mechanisms.
Stakeholders have been advised to submit their comments and counter-comments preferably in electronic form to Shri Akhilesh Kumar Trivedi, Advisor (Networks, Spectrum & Licensing), TRAI, through the official email ID [email protected]. Clarifications may also be sought from the concerned TRAI office through the notified contact details.
