The National Dental Commission (NDC), on June 2026, reiterated that biometric attendance for teaching faculty in dental institutions is mandatory and directed all institutions to ensure strict compliance with the prescribed attendance requirements.
The Commission emphasized that dental institutions must implement and maintain the biometric attendance system for teaching faculty to ensure transparency, accountability, and proper monitoring of faculty presence in accordance with the regulatory framework governing dental education.
The NDC further warned that any non-compliance with its directions regarding mandatory biometric attendance shall render the concerned institution liable for regulatory action, including the imposition of penalty under Section 25(1)(f) of the National Dental Commission Act, 2023.
