Commercial Compliance The Government of Andhra Pradesh, on June 27, 2026, amended the AP Excise (Grant of Licence of Selling by Bar and Conditions of Licence) Rules, 2025 to introduce provisions for licensing bars at airports.

The amendment inserts a definition of “Airport” under Rule 3, defining it as the area comprising the Terminal Building and the Airport Plaza.

Additionally, a new Rule 35-B titled “Grant of Bars in Airports” has been inserted after Rule 35-A, creating a specific regulatory framework for granting bar licences within airport premises.
