EHS ComplianceThe Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) on July 09, 2026, notified regarding CAQM's inspection of MCD road stretches for compliance with the Standard Framework for Paving and Greening of Urban Roads.

The following has been stated:

• It has been informed that the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), under Operation Clean Air, conducted an inspection drive on July 08, 2026, across 79 MCD road stretches in Delhi to assess compliance with the Standard Framework for Paving and Greening of Urban Roads notified on January 07, 2025. The inspection found 78 road stretches fully compliant with end-to-end paving, while redevelopment work was underway on the remaining stretch.

• The Commission noted that improved road paving will help reduce road dust emissions and enhance the effectiveness of mechanized road sweeping. CAQM also reiterated the need for timely completion and maintenance of road redevelopment works and stated that similar inspection drives will continue across Delhi-NCR to ensure effective implementation of air pollution control measures.
