Commercial ComplianceThe Government of Bihar on July 23, 2026, issued the Registration (Bihar Amendment) Bill, 2026, further to amend the Registration Act, 1908.

It states that after clause (e) of sub-section (1) of Section 17 of the said Act, the following clause (f) shall be inserted:

"Conversion Document" — "Conversion Document" means a document prepared for the purpose of changing agricultural land into commercial use, by which the holder or owner of such land intends to change the classification of its land-use from agricultural to commercial use.
