EHS ComplianceThe Department of Water Supply and Sewage Disposal, Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation, Maharashtra, on June 01, 2026, issued a notification regarding Water Conservation amid Drought Risks.

The following has been stated: -

•The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has cautioned that El Niño conditions will likely delay the monsoon until August 31, 2026, leading to reduced rainfall and depleting water reserves.

•To manage available drinking water, the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation will shut off the city’s water supply once every 15 days.

•Citizens are requested to practice strict water conservation, avoid washing vehicles daily, use dual flush systems, fix leakages, and prevent water tanks from overflowing.

•The corporation warns that water supply connections will be disconnected for buildings or societies found wasting water or allowing tanks to overflow.
