The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), on August 05, 2026, has introduced an online integration of license-wise voluntary duty payment data received from Customs/ICEGATE with the DGFT portal. The initiative aims to facilitate a seamless, transparent and paperless process for issuing Export Obligation Discharge Certificates (EODCs) under the Advance Authorisation (AA) and Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) Schemes by making authenticated duty payment information electronically available for both exporters and Regional Authorities.
Under the new system, voluntary duty payments made on or after 1 August 2026 will be displayed on the DGFT Customer Portal and Back Office Portal and will serve as the official record for processing EODC applications. Authorisation holders must ensure correct entry of licence number and IEC while making payments through ICEGATE and verify the payment details on the DGFT portal before submitting EODC applications. In case of any discrepancy or missing payment record, exporters may raise a helpdesk ticket, upload supporting proof of payment, or seek assistance through the DGFT helpline or email support. The initiative is expected to reduce manual documentation, improve data accuracy, and enhance the efficiency and transparency of EODC processing.
