Secretarial ComplianceThe Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on August 06, 2026, has released its Annual Report for FY 2025-26 (April 2025–March 2026), as legally required under the SEBI Act, 1992. The report has been submitted to the Government and tabled in Parliament, following the format prescribed by the SEBI (Annual Report) Rules, 2021.

Structure of the report:

Chairman's Statement – SEBI's vision and priorities for the year ahead

Chapter 1 – Market trends, policy moves, and outlook for FY 2026-27

Chapter 2 – Comparison of India's economy/investment climate with other countries

Chapters 3–7 – Activity in specific market segments: primary markets, secondary markets, fund management, foreign portfolio investors, and credit rating agencies

Chapters 8–9 – Investor awareness, investor protection policies, and tech initiatives

Chapter 10 – Regulatory, supervisory, surveillance, and enforcement actions; new rules/amendments

Chapters 11–13 – International engagements, NISM (National Institute of Securities Markets) activities, and SEBI's internal functioning

The report also includes "Box Items" throughout — short highlight sections on ease-of-doing-business measures, market development, and investor protection efforts.
