The Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) on August 13, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Modification in DP97 Report.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Securities issued by listed companies are initially credited under a temporary ISIN as per SEBI regulations.
• Once trading approval is received from stock exchanges, securities are transferred from the temporary ISIN to the pre-existing ISIN through CA Type 61 – “Transfer on Listing.”
• RTAs must enter the “Previous CA Type” when setting up the Transfer on Listing corporate action to identify the original corporate action under which securities were credited.
• The Previous CA Type will be displayed in the BO transaction statement and DP97 report, enabling DPs to identify the original corporate action type.
• DPs should take note and make necessary changes to their back-office systems, if required.
The functionality is scheduled to go live on August 28, 2026 (EOD)
