The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on October 19, 2020 has launched the Food Safety Compliance System in the States and UTs of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Gujarat, Goa, Odisha, Manipur, Delhi, Chandigarh and Ladakh with effect from 1st June 2020.
• This system replaces the existing online Food Licensing and Registration System (FLRS-https://foodlicensing.fssai.gov.in). Users of these States/UTs are now required to visit https://foscos.fssai.gov.in and login through same user ids and passwords.
• Food Business Operators having License/Registration of premises at Indian Railways and concerned Authorities will continue to operate at Food Licensing and Registration System (FLRS) till further announcement.
• Food Business Operators (pan-India) will continue to receive Consumer Grievances and shall respond to these in time-bound manner at FLRS only.
• FBOs and Authorities to visit FLRS regularly for Consumer Grievance Module until its upgraded version is developed in FoSCoS.
