Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on March 08, 2021 has issued a circular for the refund of the consent fee. There have been a lot of representations received for the refund of the fees after the unit is shut down permanently.
The following matters have been looked upon in this regard:
• Integrated consent to establish applications, one year fee may be retained, and the rest can be refunded.
• For the renewal of integrated consent to establish, one year fee may be retained, and rest can be refunded.
• For integrated consent to operate applications where consent to establish has been obtained, one year fee may be retained, and the rest refunded in case the project is dropped before the commencement of the production. No refund shall be made if the project is dropped after the commencement of project.
• No refund shall be made in case of renewal of applications for consent to operate.
