The Government of Chhattisgarh on February 03, 2022, issued the Chhattisgarh Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Application and fee for labour identification number – An employer shall apply electronically for registration within a period of six months from the date of commencement of shops and establishment with payment of the prescribed e-challan
• The online application submitted by the shop/establishment in the prescribed form including documents will be examined by the local area facilitator. The registration certificate will be issued by the facilitator online along with a digital signature within 15 working days
• Every shop and establishment will ensure proper cleaning, work of whitewashing, and painting in intervals of every 2 years
• The arrangement of an adequate number of separate urinals/toilets should be done collectively for women and men employees working in shops and establishments. Urinals and toilets of women should be safe to use.
• Every employer will upload the annual return online for January to December every year in the prescribed Form-14 in the web Portal of the Labour Department within 45 days from the completion of the year.
