The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on June 23, 2023, issued a circular regarding Business Correspondent Agent or CSP details in AePS online transactions.
The following has been stated:
•The member banks were advised to capture the unique terminal id which is allocated to individual BC Agent/CSP, including their correct name, address, and location details in DE#43 in earlier ISO messaging-based technical specifications.
•Due to the migration of member banks to a common code-based XML messaging interface, the banks are to pass specific mandatory BC Agent/CSP details in all AePS online transactions. These details include the BC Agent/CSP's terminal ID, name, address, and location.
•Further, the location details provided should be for the outlet from where the transaction is initiated, rather than the BC Agent/CSP's KYC (Know Your Customer) location.
•The member banks are requested to note and share this information with the relevant departments and officials for implementation.
•Members are advised to pass the correct details as mentioned herein and confirm adherence by July 31, 2023, via email to the following NPCI officials: -
