The Government of Madhya Pradesh on April 09, 2025, issued a notification regarding the exemption in the Madhya Pradesh Motor Vehicles Tax leviable on the purchase of new electric vehicles of various categories for entire life time.
The exemption details for the various segment are as stated:
• e-2W - 100% motor vehicle tax exemption on vehicles to be registered till 26/03/2026
• e-3W - 100% motor vehicle tax exemption on vehicles to be registered till 26/03/2026
• e-Car - 100% motor vehicle tax exemption on e-Cars with Standard price not exceeding Rs. 20 Lakh and to be registered till 26/03/2026
• e-LCV - 100% motor vehicle tax exemption on vehicles to be registered till 26/03/2026
• e-Buses (Non Government, i.e. School buses, private bus operators, etc.) - 100% motor vehicle tax exemption on vehicles to be registered till 26/03/2027
• e-Buses (Government Buses including Mini, Midi, Standard and Standard AC Buses)- 100% motor vehicle tax exemption on vehicles to be registered till 26/03/2027
