The Government of Kerala on April 24, 2025, issued draft Kerala Shops and Commercial Establishments (Amendment) Rules, 2025 to amend the Kerala Shops and Commercial Establishment Rules, 1961.
The following has been stated: -
•In sub-rule (1) of rule 2G, for the existing Table, the following Table shall be substituted, with a new fee structure in Rule 2 G. Registration/renewal fees now vary based on the number of employees. It ranges from ₹70 (nil employees) to ₹5,250 (more than 100 employees). This revised table replaces the earlier fee structure.
•All objections or suggestions can be submitted for two months from April 24, 2025.
