The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on June 23, 2025, notified regarding the establishment of Animal Welfare Societies in Higher Educational Institutions.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the protection of animals is not merely an ethical or legal obligation. It is a pedagogical opportunity. Engaging young minds in activities centred around animal welfare can contribute to multiple dimensions of their personal and academic development.

• Mental Health and Wellbeing:
• Alignment with Global Development Goals.
• Bridging the Gap between Law and Practice.
