Industry Specific ComplianceThe Department of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of Chhattisgarh on July 21, 2025, issued the Chhattisgarh State Logistics Policy – 2025.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The Policy aims to develop the state into a major logistics hub by reducing logistics costs, boosting infrastructure, enhancing warehousing, and attracting domestic and foreign investment. It also focuses on promoting exports and generating employment opportunities for the youth.

• The validity of the Policy is 2024–30.

• It states that the logistics standards mandate a minimum warehouse storage capacity of 1000 MT and compliance with national/state building codes, including fire safety and sustainability features like rainwater harvesting and solar panels. Smart warehousing with integrated WMS, IoT, and RFID is encouraged, while cold storage units shall include pre-cooling, insulated chambers, and power backup.

• It offers investment incentives for cold storage projects, including SGST reimbursement or capital investment subsidy up to 50% (max ₹25 crore), based on area categories. Interest subsidies on term loans range from 50–60% interest support up to ₹60 lakh for 6–11 years. New logistics enterprises also receive full exemption from electricity duty (up to 10 years) and stamp duty on land/lease and loan agreements.

• Under non-financial incentives, building height up to 24 meters will be permitted for logistics facilities; excellent service providers will be awarded based on grading and certification, and regulatory reforms will enable 24/7 warehouse operations.
