The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on July 31, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Amendment to 'Procedure for inclusion/ updating Wind Turbine Model in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers of Wind Turbines (RLMM).
The following has been stated namely: -
• Para 4(i) has been inserted to state: -
“In order to strengthen the cybersecurity ecosystem, the followings shall be ensured;
i. Mandatorily locating Data Centre and/or servers in India. All data pertaining to wind turbine must be stored and maintained within India.
ii. Transferring real-time operational data outside India shall be prohibited. Operational control of wind turbine must be conducted exclusively from a facility located within India.
iii. Mandatorily locating R&D Centre in India within one year from issuance of this OM
• Para 4 (j) has been inserted namely: -
“The Application along with all required documents should be submitted in soft copy to Shri Rishikesh Vaishnav, Scientist 'C' ([email protected]) Wind Energy Division, MNRE, New Delhi with a copy to Shri A. Senthil Kumar ([email protected]).”
