The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRT&H), on August 21, 2025, issued the Central Motor Vehicles (Third Amendment) Rules, 2025.
The following has been stated namely:-
• In rule 81, in the TABLE, serial number (4B), in the entry under column (2), after the words "Renewal of certificate of registration", the words shall be inserted, namely:- "for motor vehicles older than 15 years but not exceeding 20 years from the date of first registration".
• In rule 81, after Note 2, the following note shall be inserted, namely: - "Note 3.- All fees specified in the Table above are exclusive of Goods and Services Tax."
