EHS ComplianceThe Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) on April 24, 2025, issued the notification regarding the 12% annual interest (1% per month) has been imposed on outstanding JVS payment

The following has been stated namely: -

• 12% annual interest (1% per month) has been imposed on outstanding JVS payment exceeding the due date as a penalty.

• This is applicable on Industries, CETPs, Local Bodies (STPs), Infrastructure projects and Healthcare Establishments (HCEs), all units which are under consent regime, etc., for non-submission of Joint vigilance sampling charges within prescribed time limit imposed by the Board.

• Industry shall pay the charges within 15 days from communication of analysis charges failing which 12% interest annual interest (1% per month) will be imposed from the due date of outstanding JVS.

• The days to impose 12% interest for non-submission of JVS Interest charges will be calculated from the due date. 

• This circular is applicable to all pending JVS outstanding from due date. 

• The 12% interest amount to be paid by PP through online e-payment gateway only.

This shall be applicable from April 24, 2025.
