The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) on September 25, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Declaration of multiplying factor for DTR & value of scrap materials for the month of September 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Rate Contract Order for Distribution Transformer (DTR) repairing work is valid for two years starting from September 01, 2024.
• The multiplying factor for calculating the revised cost of repaired transformers for September 2025 is:
o Aluminium-wound Transformers: 1.137569
o Copper-wound Transformers: 1.157880
• These multiplying factors are derived using the IEEMA PV formula, considering material cost variations relevant to the month of September 2025.
• As per Clause 10, applicable scrap rates for transformer materials (based on MSTC August 2025 bulletin) are:
o Aluminium Scrap: ₹206.00/kg
o Copper Scrap: ₹887.00/kg
o Brass Scrap: ₹574.00/kg
• These multiplying factors and scrap rates are to be applied to determine the gross involvement cost and scrap value adjustments for transformers repaired in September 2025, as per contract terms.
