The Government of Madhya Pradesh on September 09, 2025, issued the Indian Stamp (Madhya Pradesh Amendment) Act, 2025, to further amend the Indian Stamp Act, 1899.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In Schedule I-A the following has been stated namely: -
o In article 5, in column (2), for the words "fifty rupees", the words "two hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
o In article 6, in sub-clause (ii) of clause (e), in column (2), for the words "one thousand rupees", the words "five thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
This shall come into force on September 09, 2025.
