The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on October 31, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Reminder of the practice of countersigning of the Transfer Certificates and mandatory uploading of scanned copy of T.C.
The following has been stated namely: -
• CBSE has reiterated its earlier directive that countersignature of Transfer Certificates (TCs) for students and experience certificates for teachers is discontinued.
• This policy was previously communicated through multiple circulars, confirming that no countersignature is required between CBSE-affiliated schools.
• Despite clear instructions, CBSE offices continue to receive requests for countersignature of TCs, which causes unnecessary inconvenience and delays.
• Schools must strictly adhere to CBSE’s directive, no countersignature is needed
• All Transfer Certificates and experience certificates must be uploaded on the respective school’s website to ensure transparency and easy verification.
