The Government of Tripura, on October 28, 2025, issued a notification regarding the revision of the Minimum Wages for Shops and Establishments.
The following has been stated: -
•The Government of Tripura issued multiple notifications revising Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) based on the 6-monthly average Consumer Price Index (CPI) increase of 63 points for various scheduled employments, including agriculture, construction, shops, auto-rickshaw, beedi, hotel, petrol pump, goldsmith, cooperative societies, and others.
•The revised VDA is effective from October 01, 2025, applicable to all respective categories of workers.
•Employers are directed to implement the updated minimum wage rates and submit compliance reports to district labour offices for monitoring and enforcement.
•Revised minimum wages for Shops and Establishments in Tripura for Skilled – ₹9,828, Semi-skilled – ₹8,787, Unskilled – ₹8,010 per month (CPI increase 63 points).
