The Government of Telangana, on October 25, 2025, issued a notification regarding a misbranded pesticide alert.
The following has been stated: -
•The Deputy Director of Agriculture, Telangana, has reported that the pesticide Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC (Trade Name: OMG) manufactured by M/s. Gharda Chemicals Ltd., Mumbai, was found to be misbranded with only 2.69% active ingredient.
•All District Agriculture Officers are instructed to issue stop-sale orders for 30 days, widely publicize the alert in newspapers and agri portals, and advise farmers not to purchase or use the said batch.
•Officers must also report detained stock details within three days as per the Insecticides Act, 1968.
