The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) on November 06, 2025, issued a notification regarding Sunset review investigation of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of “Clear Float Glass” (CFG) originating in or exported from Malaysia.
The following has been stated: -
•The Directorate General of Trade Remedies conducted a sunset review of anti-dumping duties on imports of Clear Float Glass (4mm–12mm) from Malaysia, initially imposed in 2020.
•The review found continued dumping and material injury to Indian producers despite existing duties, with increased import volumes and surplus capacities in Malaysia.
•Malaysian producers, including Kibing Group and Xinyi Energy, were examined, with Xinyi’s response rejected for non-cooperation.
•The DGTR determined a likelihood of recurrence of dumping and injury if duties were removed.
•Accordingly, it recommended continuation and enhancement of anti-dumping duties for another five years, setting reference prices up to USD 374/MT.
