The University Grants Commission (UGC) on November 11, 2025, notified the extension of the last date for applications from Eligible HEIs to offer programmes under the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode and/or Online mode for the academic year 2025-26, academic session beginning February 2026 and onwards.
The following has been stated namely: -
• UGC has extended the last date for submission of applications by eligible Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) for recognition to offer Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes for the academic year 2025-26 (session beginning February 2026).
• The new deadline for online applications is November 17, 2025, and the hard copy of the original affidavit shall reach by November 30, 2025 at the UGC DEB office, New Delhi.
