Labour ComplianceThe Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) on July 22, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Rescue Preparedness in case of Emergency in underground mines.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Mine owners, agents, and managers are urged to address the deficiencies in the mock drills, and are to reaffirm emergency preparedness measures, and conduct regular mock drills to ensure efficient and unhindered rescue and recovery operations during actual emergencies.
