The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on November 06, 2025, issued the date of establishment and withdrawal of certain Indian Standards (IS).
The following IS have been established on October 15, 2025 namely: -
• IS 2960 : 2025 Bookbinding Leather — Specification (First Revision)
• IS 9471 (Part 1) : 2025 Modular Lower Limb Orthotic Components — Specification Part 1 Stirrups (First Revision)
• IS 16439 : 2025 Metadata Standard for Geospatial Information (First Revision)
• IS 19386 : 2025 ISO/IEC 20924 : 2024 Internet of Things (IoT) and Digital Twin — Vocabulary
The following IS has been withdrawn on April 15, 2026 namely: -
• IS 2960 - 1964 Specification for Bookbinding Leather
• IS 9471 (Part 1) - 1980 Specification for Modular Lower Limb Orthotic Components Part 1 Stirrups
• IS 16180 (Part 13) : 2018 IEC 61754-13 : 2006 Fibre Optic Connector Interfaces Part 13 Type FC-PC Connector
• IS 16439 : 2016 Metadata Standard for Geospatial Information
