The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on November 06, 2025, issued the date of establishment if amendment to certain Indian Standards (IS).
The amendment to the following IS have been established on October 22, 2025 namely: -
• IS 15959 (Part 1) : 2011 Data Exchange for Electricity Meter Reading, Tariff and Load Control — Companion Specification Part 1 Static Energy Meter – Amendment No. 6 October 2025
• IS 15959 (Part 2) : 2016 Data Exchange for Electricity Meter Reading, Tariff and Load Control — Companion Specification Part 2 Smart Meter – Amendment No. 3 October 2025
• IS 15959 (Part 3) : 2017 Data Exchange for Electricity Meter Reading, Tariff and Load Control — Companion Specification Part 3 Smart Meter (Transformer Operated kWh and kVARh, Class 0.2 S, 0.5 S and 1.0 S) – Amendment No. 1 October 2025
The aforesaid IS shall be in force without the amendment till April 21, 2026.
