Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Broadcasting (MIB) on November 07, 2025, issued a notification inviting inputs in addressing copyright infringement and strengthening anti-piracy strategies.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It has issued a public notice seeking inputs from stakeholders in the Media and Entertainment industry—including film producers, OTT platforms, broadcasters, and telecom operators—on tackling digital piracy. 

• The ministry aims to conduct a comprehensive review of current enforcement and coordination mechanisms to minimize economic losses caused by piracy. 

• Stakeholders are invited to share experiences and suggestions on content identification, takedown procedures, international best practices, and inter-agency coordination. Responses can be submitted via email to [email protected] by November 27, 2025.
