Finance & Taxation Compliance The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on November 11, 2025, notified regarding the exclusion of 19 Regional Rural Banks.

The RBI has ordered the exclusion of 19 Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) from the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934. The list includes banks from Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. This move signifies that these banks will no longer enjoy scheduled bank status, affecting their access to certain RBI facilities and privileges.
