Labour ComplianceThe Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on November 14, 2025, extended Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) (Punjab Amendment) Act, 2020 as in force in the State of Punjab to the Union territory of Chandigarh on November 14, 2025, subject to the following modifications, namely:- 

• In the said Act, in section 2, for the words “State of Punjab”, the words “Union territory of Chandigarh” shall be substituted; 

• Section 3 shall be omitted.
