The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) on November 13, 2025, issued the Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Second Amendment Order, 2025 to further amend the Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Order, 2024.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In the Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Order, 2024, in Paragraph 1, sub-Paragraph (2) the words “after one year from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette”, which were amended to “on the 1st September, 2026” vide Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Amendment Order, 2025, the words “from such date as may be notified by the Central Government in the Official Gazette” shall be substituted.
It shall come into force from November 13, 2025.
