The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on November 14, 2025, issued the amendments to the Customs Duty notifications on Cane Molasses and Edible Oils.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has issued amendments to Notification No. 27/2011-Customs and Notification No. 45/2025-Customs in public interest. Through this amendment, Cane Molasses (HS Code 1703 10 00) is newly added to the 2011 notification with a Nil customs duty.
• In Notification 45/2025, the tariff entries under Serial No. 43 are revised to update the list of edible oil categories covered.
• Additionally, a new entry 45A is inserted, prescribing a 15% customs duty on goods under HS Code 1510 10 00.
