The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on November 13, 2025, issued an advisory on the Procurement of Genuine NCERT Textbooks.
The following has been stated: -
•CBSE has warned schools that counterfeit NCERT textbooks are being sold by unauthorized sellers, leading to poor quality and content errors.
•Schools must advise parents to purchase only authentic NCERT books through authorised channels and ensure the school’s own procurement is from approved sources only.
•Genuine NCERT books can be obtained via RPDCs, authorised vendors on the NCERT website, NCERT postal service, and the official NCERT Amazon storefront.
•Schools should circulate this advisory widely and contact the nearest NCERT RPDC for assistance in ensuring access to genuine textbooks.
