The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoC&I), on November 14, 2025, notified regarding the Preliminary Findings in the anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of "Low Ash Metallurgical Coke" originating in or exported from Australia, China PR, Colombia, Indonesia, Japan and Russia.
The following has been stated:-
• The application for initiation of anti-dumping investigation against imports of Low Ash Metallurgical Coke originating or exported from Australia, China PR, Colombia, Indonesia, Japan and Russia was filed by the Indian Metallurgical Coke Manufacturers Association on behalf of the domestic industry. Nine members of the applicant association have filed data for the purpose of the present investigation.
• The product under consideration is Metallurgical Coke having ash content below 18% excluding ultra-low phosphorous metallurgical coke with phosphorous content up to 0.030% with size upto 30 mm with 5% size tolerance for use in ferroalloy manufacturing.
• The exclusion requests made by the other interested parties have been examined and the Authority provisionally finds that the domestic industry has produced and sold the like article to the products for which exclusion has been requested. Accordingly, no other exclusion has been considered by the Authority.
• The domestic industry has produced like article to the product under consideration imported from the subject countries.
