The Ministry of Mines, on November 14, 2025, issued a notification regarding the revision of Non-Refundable Fees for Final Mine Closure Plan.
The following has been stated: -
•The Government has revised the non-refundable fees for submitting the Final Mine Closure Plan under the Mines and Minerals Act and MCDR, 2017.
•For mining leases up to 10 hectares, the fee is ₹5,000, and for leases above 10 hectares, it is ₹25,000 per sq. km or part thereof.
•A special rate of ₹1,000 applies to Barytes, Felspar, Mica, and Quartz leases up to 10 hectares if submitted on or before December 31, 2025.
•These changes supersede the earlier notification dated January 24, 2022.
This notification shall come into force on November 17, 2025.
