The Government of Tripura on November 04, 2025, issued notification on Establishment of ITART under the Finance Department, Tripura.
The Government of Tripura has established the Institute of Tax Administration & Research, Tripura (ITART) at Churaibari under the Finance Department to conduct research on State Taxes and provide training on tax administration, including GST. The institute aims to build skilled tax officers, enhance efficiency and transparency, provide training on modern digital tools like AI and data analytics, promote professional ethics, and foster research and collaboration with national and international institutions. This has been approved by the Finance Department.
