The Government of Kerala, on February 13, 2025, notified the Foreign Liquor (Amendment) Rules, 2025, further to amend the Foreign Liquor Rules, 1953.
The following has been stated: -
•In rule 34,—
(a) In clause (i), for the letters, figures, brackets, and words “Rs. 30,000 (Rupees Thirty Thousand)”, the letters, figures, brackets, and words “Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh)” shall be substituted;
(b) In the proviso, for the words “one lakh rupees,” the words “one lakh fifty thousand rupees” shall be substituted.
•They shall come into force at once.
