Industry Specific ComplianceThe National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) on November 11, 2025, issued a notification on implementation plan of 2nd edition NABH entry level certification program standards for hospitals.

NABH has released the 2nd edition of the Entry Level Certification Standards for Hospitals, reflecting its ongoing commitment to improving healthcare quality and patient safety. The updated standards were launched on September 17, 2025 during the NABH Patient Safety Conference in New Delhi and will come into effect from January 01, 2026. The standards will be available for download starting November 15, 2025.

The Certification Cycle Validity for Hospital Certification Stages are as stated:

• New completed Applications with application fee paid till December 31, 2025 - 2 Years

• New completed Applications with application fee paid on or after January 01, 2026 - 2 Years

• Re-certification Applications with application fee paid till December 31, 2025 - 2 Years

• Re-certification Applications with application fee paid on or after January 01, 2026 - 2 Years

NABH will start conducting assessments as per the 2nd Edition Standards from January 01, 2026, onwards. 

No fresh or renewal application will be accepted as per the 1st Edition Standard after December 31, 2025.
