Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Defence (MoD) on November 17, 2025, issued a notification regarding Voluntary Aadhaar Authentication.

The following has been stated: -

•The Ministry of Defence has authorised DRDO to use voluntary Aadhaar authentication (“Yes/No” or e-KYC) for verifying candidates’ identities during registration and stages of examinations or recruitment.

•This is permitted under the Aadhaar Act, 2016, and related rules, subject to full compliance with UIDAI directions.
