The Kamrup Metropolitan District, Guwahati on November 13, 2025, issued the notification regarding the constitution Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) under POSH in establishments with 10 or more employees
The following has been stated namely: -
• All shops, commercial establishments, hotels, restaurants, factories, educational institutions, hospitals, NGOs, and other private establishments in Kamrup (Metro) District employing ten (10) or more persons are to comply
• The ICC must include: -
o A woman Presiding Officer (senior employee)
o At least two internal members
o One external member from an NGO/association familiar with women's rights.
• At least 50% of ICC members must be women, and the external member cannot be an employee of the organization.
• After formation, ICC details must be displayed at the workplace, and the employer must register on the She-Box portal.
• A compliance report with Nodal Officer details must be submitted to the Assistant Labour Commissioner by November 30, 2025, non-compliance may attract penalties up to ₹50,000.
