The Department of Transport, UT of Ladakh, on November 11, 2025, notified regarding fare concession and reserved seats for Persons with Disabilities in Ladakh.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that only 50% of the standard passenger fare shall be charged from eligible persons with disabilities, applicable to both government and private transport services.
• Passengers shall carry a valid UDID card issued by the Social Welfare Department to avail the concession.
• Two seats in every stage carriage vehicle are reserved for persons with disabilities, preferably near the door for easy access. They shall be vacated by others when an eligible person boards.
• No charges shall be taken for carrying wheelchairs, tricycles, or mobility aids during travel.
