Secretarial ComplianceThe Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on November 19, 2025, issued a Caution to the Public regarding unregistered Online Bond Platform Providers.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It has cautioned that several fintechs and stock brokers are illegally offering Online Bond Platform Provider (OBPP) services without mandatory registration under the 2022 SEBI circular, leaving investors without regulatory protection or grievance redressal. 

• Such activities may violate the Companies Act, SEBI Act, and related regulations, and SEBI has already taken action against some entities in 2024. 

• Investors are advised to avoid unregistered platforms, verify OBPP registration before transacting, and market participants shall ensure full regulatory compliance before offering such services.
