Secretarial ComplianceThe Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. (MCX), on November 20, 2025, issued a circular announcing the application of an Event-Based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) on Cardamom contracts. This action is taken under the provisions of the Exchange Rules, Bye-laws and Business Rules, and is in continuation of the guidelines prescribed in Circular No. MCX/S&I/685/2020 dated September 18, 2020.

Based on the high–low price variation observed in recent sessions, MCX has imposed an E-ASM of 2.50% on all running as well as yet-to-be-launched Cardamom futures contracts. The margin will be effective from the beginning of trading on Friday, November 21, 2025, and will remain applicable until Thursday, December 11, 2025. This measure aims to enhance risk management and safeguard market integrity amid heightened volatility in the commodity.

Members are advised to take note of the revised margin framework and ensure compliance with the prescribed surveillance requirements for all applicable Cardamom contracts during the specified period.
