The Government of Haryana, on November 17, 2025, issued a notification regarding restrictions on Factory Inspections in Gurugram.
The following has been stated: -
•The Labour Department has received multiple complaints regarding factory inspections in Gurugram.
•To prevent industrial harassment, only the Joint Director, Gurugram, is now authorised to conduct inspections under the Factories Act, 1948, and BOCW Act, 1996.
•All Assistant and Deputy Directors are barred from conducting inspections until further orders.
•Solely the Joint Director, as per departmental policy, will also carry out any pending inspections with them.
