The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on November 21, 2025, issued an update to the Block Deal Framework pursuant to SEBI’s circular SEBI/HO/MRD/POD-III/CIR/P/2025/134 dated October 08, 2025, and earlier Exchange circulars. The Exchange has aligned its block deal mechanism with SEBI’s revised parameters to ensure market efficiency, surveillance robustness, and smoother execution of large-value transactions.
Under the revised framework, orders placed in block deal windows must now remain within ±3% of the applicable reference price, and the minimum order size has been fixed at ₹25 crore. These provisions shall apply across all block deal windows, including securities traded under the optional T+0 settlement cycle. The updated mechanism will be effective for live trading from December 08, 2025, and made available for testing during mock trading on December 06, 2025.
The Exchange will also publish an updated FAQ document on its website under Markets → Equity → Block Deals → &ldquo
